decades, the Sachin Tendulkar-Vinod Kambli friendshiphas been the talk of the tinsel town. The duo, who are regarded as “friends forever” have been the closest mates since their childhood. But now, the recent comments of Kambli on his long time buddy Sachin, has exposed the crack in their friendship.
Former Indian cricketer, Vinod Kambli was the first one to draw the line between their friendship as he lashed out at the little-master, Sachin Tendulkar, on a television show, which is going to be aired from this week.
According to the sources, Kambli reportedly had said that his long time childhood friend didn’t lend a helping hand during his downward spiral, which was also one of the reason of his self-destructive behavior. “We are very close…..we were very close. He could have done a bit more but he didn’t,” Kambli reportedly remarked in the show. He said this during a lie detector test, which is a part of the show.
Kambli, 37, who is yet to retire from cricket officially, also slammed the BCCI (Board Of Cricket Control Of India) as he said, “I always felt discriminated by the cricket board due to my caste and color.” Interestingly, all these revelations came when Kambli had to go through a poly detector test. The show’s format is such that every celebrity appearing on the show has to go through the test, and if someone fails the test then he is subjected to be disqualified.
Kambli’s last appearance in a test match was in the year 1995, when he was barely 23 years of age. Since then, he career graph slumped down, as his last appearance for India was in the year 2000 at Sharjah.
